Candle Care

Proper candle care is essential to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience with your candles. By following these guidelines, you can maximize the lifespan and performance of your candles.

1. Trim the Wick

Before lighting your candle, always trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch. This helps to prevent excessive smoke, soot, and uneven burning. A trimmed wick also promotes a steady flame and reduces the risk of the candle flickering or creating a large flame.

2. Burn Time

Allow your candle to burn for a sufficient amount of time during each use. It is recommended to burn candles for at least one hour for every inch in diameter. This allows the wax to melt evenly and prevents tunneling. But if you notice hang-up around the sides, it is normal for rich coconut soy wax to leaving wax on the sides. The wax will melt as the flame(s) in the middle get hotter over time.

3. Avoid Drafts

Place your candle in a draft-free area to ensure an even burn. Drafts can cause the flame to flicker and burn unevenly, leading to wasted wax and an uneven surface. Keep windows and doors closed, and avoid placing candles near fans or air conditioning vents.

4. Extinguish Properly

When extinguishing your candle, use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame. This helps to prevent hot wax from splattering and ensures a clean and safe extinguishing process. Avoid using water or blowing forcefully, as this can cause wax to spill and create a mess.

5. Store Candles Properly

Store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Excessive heat can cause the wax to soften or melt, while sunlight can fade the color and fragrance of the candle. Proper storage helps to maintain the quality and longevity of your candles.

6. Crystals Care

Please remove all crystals prior to burning your candles. Crystals can be cleaned with soapy water and kept as part of your collection. If you struggle to remove your crystals prior to lighting, light for 30 minutes to heat the wax, then extinguish your candle, remove all crystals and re-light.

7. Enjoy Responsibly

Always keep candles within sight and away from flammable objects. Do not leave candles unattended, especially around children or pets. Ensure that the candle is placed on a stable and heat-resistant surface. Following these safety precautions will help you enjoy your candles responsibly.
